Front Row App

I showed the kids an app to practice math today.  It is called Front Row.  It allows kids to practice all areas of math (not just multiplication).  It also allows you to see their progress.  I sent home a sheet with your child today that has more information about how you and your child can log on.  You can also access this program online.

This is app is good  practice because it shows the kids how to do concepts that they struggle with.  It also has manipulatives, a pencil they can write with, and a speaker to read hard words.  Its format is also similar to what the new state standardized test will look like in May.

Once they take the placement test they should choose adaptive practice.  This allows the program to give the students the practice they need.  Assigned practice lets the student choose the area to practice.

If your child isnt here today, they sign in with their first and last name and the code is k v d a q g .  The online address is student.frontrowed.com.  You only need the parent code (on the paper being sent home today) in order to see your childs progress.  I will put your copy in the Friday folder next week if your child isn't here today.
