Sensational Information

On Wednesday we had a share fair. We all wrote about a person, an animal or history. We worked on the feature articles for about 2 months. We learned a lot of facts and put them in to sections. All the other 3rd grade classes came to listen. 

Geometry Geniuses

A couple of days ago we started geometry.  Some people think it's hard and some people think it's easy. We are learning new words and new shapes. For a example a triangle that has at least two sides the same length would be an isosceles triangle. A triangle with all sides equal is called an equilateral triangle.  A triangle with all sides different lengths is called a scalene triangle. 

Valentine's Party Mania!!!

Last Thursday we had a Valentine's party. We had a game called Valentine Pictionary. It is where you draw a picture and your team has to try and guess what you drew and if they guessed it right your team gets a point. We also got to decorate a sugar cookies however we wanted. We also had a chocolate  fountain you could strawberries, pretzels, marshmallows, or short cake bread.

Last Tuesday if you brought a dollar you could wear a hat.  The dollar went to the American Heart Association.  We did activities all week for Heart Heart Week.

Happy Birthday

Friday, January 31, we celebrated Mrs. Mathes and Jaynesha's birthdays. Their real birthday was on February 2nd, but we did not have school that day. We made a banner and hung it up on the wall for Ms. Mathes's birthday. We made notes to go on the banner about what we like about Mrs.Mathes.
