Principal Thank-You

Yesterday we took pictures for principal appreciation. Our principals do so much for us and this is the day that we appreciate are principals.Thank  you Mrs. Rawlings and Mrs. Beeler.  We made pictures into videos and donated money for plant gifts. Our principals rule!

Money money money

We are learning about economy. Every time we do something good we get paid $1.00.  If we come to school and do our job we get paid $3.00. If we break a rule we owe the teacher a dollar.

We finished

Yesterday we finished The Sisters Grimm #1 .  Today we are going to draw the picture to put up on our wall today.  Almost all third grade wants to read the rest of the series. Some are going to the public library to get the books.  They want to find out what the Scarlet Hand is up to.  

Champions

We finished the MAP tast  yesterday we had to test for 5 days.  We got peppermints and lemon drops to help us concentrate during the test.  It was not very hard. It just tested you for what you know.  Some of it was timed, but not all of it. We still have next year's test so wish us luck for next year's test.

The circle of life

The grass grew in our ecosystems. A few of our worms died and we don't know where our crickets are. It is the circle of life

Funny Buffy

Buffy, our class pet, learned a new trick. He hops on the stool, and then hops on to the table. We all thought it was funny.  We also learned that Buffy is a boy, not a girl. 

Ecosystems

Yesterday we made ecosystems! We put worms, fish, crickets, water plants, water, water snails, rocks, netting, dead leaves and twigs, and dirt.  We are learing about how things work together in nature is the reason why we made the ecosystems.

Terrific Triaramas

Last week we did a mini research project on a weather topic. Then we made a Triaramas to display our information. Yesterday we had sheet of paper to answer questions written by our classmates. In order to answer them we needed to read the Triaramas and the answers were on the Triaramas. It was fun to do.  Some were tricky, but we figured them out.

Cool Clouds

Yesterday we learned about clouds.  The main cloud names are stratus, cumulus, nimbus, and cirrus. We learned that cloud names can be put together like cumulonimbus (the thunder cloud), altostratus (the cloud that warns of a rainstorm),  and many more!  We also made cloud watchers and looked at clouds outside. We think the clouds yesterday were stratus.
