Miss Missouri

Yesterday Miss Missouri, Shelby Ringdahl, came and talked to us about how we wanted to be remembered. She also told us how she became Miss Missouri. She told us she wanted to be remembered as kind.  She told us about her self and sang her favorite song for us too.

Summer of the monkeys

Yesterday we finished Summer of the Monkeys.  Jay Berry finally caught the monkeys. He used his reward money to get his sister, Daisy's, leg fixed.  Then got the pony and the 22 he wanted. We learned that you have to put others before yourself and that you have to work hard to get what you want.

Super Subs

Yesterday we had a sub. The sub was Mrs. Cameron :). She was really nice to us. For read aloud we read a book called Shelter Dogs. The dog we read about was a dog named, Kirby. Kirby is a caren terroir. Kerbys owner died and he was left with no food for 6 days. When the social workers searched the house they found Kirby.   Kirby bit two social workers so they took him to the humane society.  They called  a woman that had a talent of calming the most ferosious dogs, but nothing worked. The last day they had to put him to sleep, but the word walk saved his life because he was not getting attention.  All of a sudden he turned into a sweet dog That is the story of Kirby.

Amazing Ads

We are working on ads for our Farmers Market booths. Ads are things that people used to make people want to buy/use their good/service. There are different types of ads. The bandwagon, the snob appeal  and the celebrity appeal. There's also the good points. We will share them with our customers (other classes) when they are done.

Summer Buffy

Buffy, our class pet, is shedding a lot. His winter fur is falling out and he is growing in shorter, darker summer fur.  He has a big black fur spot on his back.   It kind of looks like someone shaved him. We are going to have to brush him until he is done shedding.

The monkey Jay Berry wants to catch is a chimpanzee the grandpa says has a $100 reward. That is the jasper Jay Berry wants to catch, but the monkey is smarter than he thinks it is.  Will he win it or will he fail?
