Happy birthday Ms. Mathes

Ms.Mathes birthday was yesterday. She had an AWESOME cake that Makenna's mom made. The cake was chocolate and vanilla. It looked like a book and it tasted really GOOD! For a treat we made her cards!!!!!! By Natalie&alaina

Lever

Today we learned how to make a lever. Levers help us work so that we don't have to do that much work. Levers also helps you move things and we also learned that if we move the bottom (fulcrum) closer to the load  it will be easier to lift. Rachel & Mailei

Kindergarten Buddies

On Friday Mrs Hotchkiss's kindergarten class came to our room. We read books to our kindergarten buddies. We read all sorts of books like German shepherds, earthquakes, Dly Guy, and much more. Some of us even read books from Epic on our iPad. We hope they come again soon! By Luke S.

Magnets

In science we have been learning about magnets. The ends of the magnet.  There are poles. There is a north pole and a South Pole. If you put the same poles together, south and south and north and north they repel that means that they push apart. But if you put North and South they stick together. For a magnet to work you do not have to have them together.

Number the Stars

We have been building up our knowledge about WWII because our read aloud book takes place in WWII. It is called NUMBER THE STARS. The Nazi soldiers are invading Denemark . The main character is Annemarie and her friend Ellen who is Jewish. The author is Lois Lowry.

Family letters

Every Friday we write family letters. We have to do three sentences in each paragraph. Family letters are really fun. In the letter we have to write about what we have been doing in class over the week.
