Reading Tuesday
Today right now we are reading. We're all reading different books and we have orders of who has to write responses about their book. To know the book is perfect we use the 5 fingers. This is what you do. You read the first page. If you don't know the word you put up a finger. If you don't know 2 words it's a good fit. If you don't know 3 or more words it's too hard.

Read aloud Monday
Today in read aloud we made pictures about the book. The one who the class choose out of the ones Mrs.mathes chose is the one that will go up on the wall. But you can only have your picture's up on the wall 2 times. We talked about what lessons we learned from Small Steps. The lesson we learned was that you should never give up.

Math Friday
Today in math we did mazes and coloring sheets all on multiplying 6's. We also marked the patterns on 6's on a hundreds chart. For the coloring sheet we used the hundreds chart to help us (below.) we noticrd that 6s are all even and that 6a are doubles if three. Some of their multiples are the same.

Read Aloud
Today in read aloud we are still reading Small steps. Peg is a 12 year old girl who got polio in case you forgot. She is in sheltering arms ( that is a hospital for people who have polio) , but she got moved to a university hospital, because Peg couldn't breath we'll and she needed an iron lung and sheltering arms didn't have a iron lung and because her polio case was too extreme. Peg's case was so extreme that she thought she would die, but after she drank a milkshake( which Polio patients aren't aloud to drink) and suddenly her temperature lowered and Peg lost 2 out of 3 kinds of polio. She was still paralyzed but one day she wanted to itch her self and she actually moved her arm and fingers. Later in the book she returns to sheltering arms and she was moved into a room with 4 other girls. She was strong enough to be in a wheelchair and soon enough she was in walking sticks.

Math Tuesday
Today in math we are still doing multiplication. We are learning how to solve hard problems like 4 times 35. We would spit it up so we would have 2 times 35 and the answer to that question we would double it and that would be the the answer.
