Magnets

We learned about magnets today. Magnets don't stick to all metal. They stick to iron and steel. We also learned that strongest part of the magnet is the pole. The same poles won't stick together. Different poles will stick together. 

 

 

 

Parachutes

We are experimenting with gravity and air resistance by making parachutes. We'll see whose parachutes slows their animal the most tomorrow. 

 

 

 

 

 

Roller Coasters

Today we tested our knowledge of force by completing "roller coaster" challenges. We had to make the marble go faster and slower and go over hills and through loops. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pulleys

Last week we made  pulleys with the Vex Kits. They were a little harder than the inclined Planes and levers.
